Varsha Bawari
Co-Founder & Growth Director
Amruta Chitrao
Design is the language, but craftsmanship is the soul.
Varsaca works with skilled artisans across India, alongside our all-women production unit in Lavale. These collaborators bring generational knowledge in printing, stitching, weaving, and surface craft.
We do not outsource anonymously.
We build long-term working relationships.
The Workshop & Ground Team
Behind every stitch, every frame, every finished piece is a circle of hands that carry patience, precision, and pride.
Our workshop and ground team transform raw fabric, threads, and sketches into meaningful creations — keeping craftsmanship alive while building sustainable livelihoods.
Meera Rokade
Lead Artisan & Workshop Head
With over 15 years of hands-on experience in tailoring and garment construction, Meera leads Varsaca’s workshop with quiet authority and precision. From technical fittings to complex stitching, she ensures every piece meets the highest standards of craftsmanship. More than a master tailor, she is a mentor and trainer — guiding artisans, coordinating production, managing workshop orders, and translating design concepts into flawless execution. Her discipline, skill, and leadership form the backbone of our making process.
Shaila Gambhire
Tassel Artisan & Handwork Specialist
Shaila brings colour, movement, and detail into every piece she touches. A tassel-making expert and skilled handwork artisan, she specialises in cushion covers — adding the finishing accents that make each design feel alive. Always eager to learn and fully charged with enthusiasm, Shaila approaches her craft with curiosity and dedication. Her energy flows through every thread, transforming small details into statement elements.
Tanuja Rokade
Kantha Artisan & Quality Lead
Tanuja brings depth and refinement to every piece through her expertise in Kantha stitching and intricate embroidery. A skilled tailor and finishing expert, she works with remarkable precision — ensuring that every thread sits exactly where it should. Beyond craftsmanship, she oversees quality checks and coordinates freelance artisans within the workshop, maintaining consistency and discipline across each order. Her eye for detail safeguards the standard of every Varsaca creation.
Priyanka Soundade
Embroidery Specialist
Priyanka brings artistry to thread. With a strong eye for design and detail, she transforms embroidery into expressive surface storytelling — balancing colour, pattern, and proportion with instinctive finesse. Her creative sensibility ensures that every motif feels intentional, refined, and beautifully aligned with the overall design vision.
Rohini Gawade
Handwork Artisan
Rohini specialises in detailed handwork, bringing patience and care to every stitch. Known for her dedication and steady focus, she approaches each piece with commitment and discipline. Always eager to learn and refine her craft, Rohini continuously grows her skills — strengthening both herself and the workshop with every project.
Growth & Operations
Behind every collection is a support system — logistics coordinators, production planners, vendor managers, and studio assistants who ensure timely execution and consistent quality.
Design authority requires operational discipline.
Trushna Kothawade
Operations Manager
With over 10 years of experience, Trushna anchors the operational backbone of Varsaca. She oversees order management, coordinates teams, and ensures inventory flows seamlessly from workshop to studio. Balancing people management with process discipline, she keeps production aligned and timelines on track. At times, she also manages our Baner studio — ensuring the same efficiency extends from workshop floor to customer space. Her leadership brings structure to creativity.
Learning & Mentorship
The studio also mentors interns and emerging designers interested in textile practice, surface development, and sustainable craft systems.
Varsaca functions not only as a production space, but as a learning environment.
Siddhi Shelar
